Yoga was born and raised in Batukaras, a small fishing and rice farming village at the South Coast of West Java. It's famous for its longboard waves and is surrounded by beautiful beaches. He has been surfing since he was 9 years old. At first, he learnt on a piece of old wooden board that he took from an old fishing boat- he couldn’t even stand on it. Then, his seniors lent him a surfboard for about 2 years, it helped him a lot in improving his skill. Later on, after a year collecting money, he got himself a real surfboard. Now he works at the beach as a surf coach and provides various activities on the beach. While improving his skill, he wants to inspire others to do longboarding. Just as he was inspired by many great longboarders in Batukaras.
